Cheese Class Signup: Women's Work

Even if you're not a mother, I can guarantee that you had one. So, in honor of Mother's Day, we will explore some of the world's great women cheese and wine makers. And let's not forget an entirely under-appreciated group of moms, the critters whose milk makes our delicious cheese. What could be more apropos?

We will learn the stories and taste the wares of 10 women cheese makers and 2 women wine makers. What a great way to celebrate marvelous mommies* everywhere. I'll drink - and eat - to that!

* Disclaimer: I don't know that all of these cheese and wine makers are actually mommies. But the mere fact that they could be mommies, while your typical man cannot, means they qualify.

Class Length: About an hour
Instructor: "Cheese Lady" Jill Erber
Tasting: Ten cheese and two wines, all made by wonderful women
Cost: $40 per person
Available Dates: May 6th, 20th, or 21st, all at 7pm
Location: Del Ray (Alexandria)
